Art and Fashion at 5 Pointz

Hey guys! I am so excited about this post! I recently had the opportunity to shoot at 5 Pointz in Queens. It’s an awesome space where graffiti artists display their work. How amazing in this incredible street art? I was blown away by the talent displayed at 5 Pointz! Read more about 5 Pointz HERE.

For my shoot I chose a funky, urban inspired Fall look. Yes, it’s finally cool in NYC!! Thank God! Leopard was the theme for the day, and I took advantage of the crisp weather to break out my leopard calf hair boots and bag. The hot pink coat was the finishing touch- I have been WAITING to wear this coat all Summer! Details on what I am wearing, and where to buy them are below. 😉

High Fashion in Machine City

We spent this past Sunday at the Motorcycle show at the Javitz Center. What gorgeous bikes! I especially loved this yellow one. Think it matches my outfit? LOL

There is something so badass about riding a motorcycle in a skirt and heels. I had images of myself hightailing it out of NYC on my yellow bike-very Bonnie and Clyde. Too bad I don’t know how to ride bikes. 🙁

My boyfriend Chris, and his good friend Pedja had the chance to try out some awesome bikes. Although, this one was more like a cross between a bike and a car. Can’t believe it’s street legal!

My Celine bag was perfect to lug around all my stuff, and to carry around any goodies I decided to buy while there. 😉

Gorgeous handmade jewelry made from hematite. I especially loved the rainbow bracelets.

Of course, this pink bike caught my eye.

I even found a pink helmet to match 😉

I LOVED the Harley-Davidson art by UHL Studios! Gorgeous artwork! I was tempted to take something home!

Pedja almost took this large one home………. (The painting….not me ;-))

Naturally, I was attracted to this bike with the leopard seat. LOVE the copper elements also. So retro. It’s gorgeous! I would even love to have it on display in our apt, next to my leopard coats and bags. (Chris said no to this idea. LOL)

I didn’t take any bikes home, but maybe next time. 😉 I love the pop of floral in my skirt against the black I was wearing. I love mixing things like black motorcycle boots with floral patterns to combine masculine with feminine. I thought this was the perfect look for a bike show.

Indian Summer

The weather in NYC has been unseasonably warm, which is pleasant to walk around it, but scary at the same time for those of us worried about global warming. (like me) Nevertheless….it’s a great excuse to wear my favorite burgundy Balenciaga leather jacket. Similar HERE and HERE. Pants are Zara. I love the leopard print on them. P.S. Isn’t it strange how much it’s raining lately? During Winter? Shouldn’t it be snowing? Sigh….

White Fall Dress….two ways

We are experiencing an unusual heat wave in NYC lately. (By heat wave, I mean 50 degrees in November!) I bought this gorgeous beaded white dress from Zara, and I was planning on rocking it for Fall with thick tights. This pleasant weather,however, allowed me to wear the dress bare legged with my Rag & Bone boots. I couldn’t decide what coat to wear with it, so I decided to try out two different looks. First, I paired the dress with this incredible leopard coat I got from Nordstrom! What a great buy! It’s waterproof and super warm! A leopard coat is a staple every girl should have in her closet, and at this price, it’s worth it! Second, I tried it on with the sweater I bought at the Margiella for H&M preview I attended two weeks ago. (I love how designers are making their lines more affordable for the general public by doing collaborations!) I love the look of white on white as well. What was that rule about white after Labor Day? Yea….right…..so 10 years ago! LOL BTW, I am loving my Pamela Love medium tribal spike necklace! (Last seen HERE). It’s bold, unique, and makes any outfit more special!

Urban Jungle

I paired two of Fall’s biggest trends for a fresh look: metallics and burgundy. I found this awesome metallic skirt at Minusey for a great price. I think the skirt adds a great pop of color in this dark, dismal Fall weather! My burgundy quilted Balenciaga jacket is still my favorite Fall piece, and the color is just amazing.
